October 9, 2017 – Newark, NJ – The Inaugural Season of the newly formed Women’s American Basketball Association (WABA) is set to crown its 1st National Champion, on Saturday October 14th. The WABA will host the finals at The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, NJ, tipoff is set for 4pm, with the Jersey Expressions taking on the Orlando Splash.
The Jersey Expressions, who finished the regular season 5-3, defeated the Long Island Storm 82-74 to win the Northeast Division Championship Saturday, and secure their spot in the finals. The Orlando Splash finished the regular season with an undefeated 8-0 record. They defeated the Middle Georgia Lady Pits 102-76, to move onto the finals.
